Taco Bell Cantina | San Francisco
Roberts Electric was the electrical contractor for Taco Bell’s second San Francisco store–this one at Anchorage Squuare at Fisherman’s Wharf. The Cantina formats of Taco Bell have an updated menu and an upscale restaurant design. But what really sets these cantinas apart is that they’re serving alcohol–beer, wine, sangria and their specialty alcoholic beverages–the “twisted freezes”.
High electrical demand
Restaurants are challenging because of high electrical demand, varied equipment, strict safety codes, and challenging environments. Ovens, fryers, dishwashers, refrigerators, mixers, and ventilation systems — all draw heavy current, often on dedicated circuits. Anyone who’s worke d in a restaurant will tell you that they’re hot, humid, and greasy — and all of which contribute to the degradation of wiring insulation and fixtures over time.
