Shinmai | Oakland

Roberts Electric teamed with Buestad Construction on Shinmai, Oakland’s new Izakaya restaurant. This is a shell buildout in a ground-floor suite in the new EBALDC main office building on San Pablo Avenue that is an adaptation of traditional Japanese architecture. Shinmai specializes in ramen, small plates, sushi and items from the restaurant’s grill. RECO installed full kitchen facilities and programmed lighting controls. We worked closely with the owner, Buestad and the lighting designer to install a sophisticated lighting scheme that would meet the restaurant’s unique design aesthetic.
